Ovoclinic-Ovobank presented at the ASEBIR National Congress 2025 held in Barcelona, between November 12 and 14, two studies that reinforce its leadership in research applied to assisted reproduction.
Validation of a universal oocyte devitrification protocol
The first communication presented, titled ‘Validation of a universal devitrification protocol for donated oocytes regardless of the commercial vitrification system used’, outlines the validation of a universal protocol capable of being applied to different commercial vitrification systems without compromising survival rates or embryonic development. This advancement will facilitate the standardization of processes in the laboratorios and provide greater flexibility in the use of donor oocytes.
Does the donor’s age influence pregnancy rates?
The second study, titled ‘Does donor age affect pregnancy rates in an oocyte donation program?’, analyzes whether the age of the donor or the recipient influences pregnancy rates in egg donation treatments. The results conclude that, within the usual selection ranges for donors and recipients, no significant differences are observed, reinforcing the safety and efficacy of these assisted reproduction treatments.
Enrique Criado, embryologist and CEO of Ovoclinic and Ovobank, confirms that every improvement in the laboratory translates “into new opportunities for those who wish to build a family”, highlighting the importance of collaboration and continuous updating in congresses such as ASEBIR.
The participation of Ovoclinic-Ovobank in this edition confirms its commitment to innovation, scientific excellence, and the development of solutions that transform knowledge into real results for patients.
